London Rivers Week 2024: Guided walk – Wandle Discovery Day

The River Wandle is a fantastic river. Join Wandle Industrial Museum’s John Sheridan on a guided walk along the River Wandle, taking in Wandle Park, Wandle Bank and Merton Abbey Mills.
The walk will cover the industrial heritage of Merton Mill, Connolly’s leather works, the site of William Morris’s works, and the Liberty textile printing works where you can see a working waterwheel.
Participants should reach Merton Abbey Mills around 1pm, where they can choose to go on to a tour of the Merton Priory Chapter House Museum or go straight to lunch at one of several refreshment outlets.
Date and time: Sunday 30th June, 12pm-1pm
Meet at Colliers Wood Station (South West London, SW19) at 12pm
